What is the IOP Quality Framework?

A: IOP  Quality Framework (IOP QF) is aimed at bringing consistency to the level of quality of early learning and care in the critical areas of education, health and safety with in IOP. 
The IOP QF will also provide clearer and comprehensive information for families so they can choose the best services for their child. The main reforms being implemented through the IOP QF are:
  • Curriculum guided learning frameworks
  • Improved staff-to-child ratios
  • New staff qualification requirements
  • New quality rating system
  • IOP QF focus on the 7 pillars of standards and quality 
  • Educational program and practice
  • Children's health and safety

IOP Early Learning Framework

IOP Early Learning Framework (IOP ELF) describes the principles, practices, and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children’s learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school. It’s a series of activities and themes to support your child’s learning and development as a part of IOP ELF for early childhood education and care.

The framework has a strong emphasis on the importance of communication, early literacy, numeracy, language, social and emotional development helping your child to develop:
• a strong sense of identity.
• connections with their world.
• a strong sense of wellbeing.
• confidence and involvement in their learning
• effective communication skills.
